      , the " Introduction Conference on High Quality Promotion of Urban and Rural Sewage Treatment Technology in Suzhou City " sponsored by the Office of the Leading Group of Suzhou High-quality Promotion of Urban and Rural Domestic Sewage Treatment and the Suzhou Water Bureau was held at the Golden Science Hotel of Suzhou High-speed Railway  on March 29, 2019. Qingdao SPRING Water Treatment Co., Ltd. was invited to attend.


      The theme of the conference is "focusing on technology, products and services, promoting urban and rural domestic sewage treatment with high quality", the conference creats a public exchange platform, gathering advanced technology, products and services in the industry, and providing economic, reliable and fast solutions for relevant demanders.


       

      Zhou Jia-zhong, Deputy Engineer of R&D Center, shared achievements and experiences of SPRING on WWTP upgrading to fulfill the surface-IV water standard with the title of "Technical Route and Typical Case Analysis of MBBR Surface-IV Water Upgrading and Reconstruction".


       

      ingdao SPRING was founded in 2006. From 2006 to 2008, it was the first stage of the company to develop MBBR, mainly to ensure the success of hydraulics. From 2008 to 2014, on the basis of the success of the first stage, SPRING started a large-scale application, designed different pool types, different water quality and so on. To ensure that the process is stable and meets the standard, from 2014 to the present, SPRING focused on energy saving and consumption reduction on the basis of the stable operation and good treatment performance. In terms of the whole development, SPRING is synchronized with MBBR in China. In summary, SPRING MBBR process package has five advantages.

       

       

      Appropriate technical routes are adopted for each water plant according to different conditions. For example, Wuxi Lucun WWTP adopts the technical route 1. IFAS is implemented in A2/O to improve nitrification and denitrification. Expand the anoxic zone to meet the denitrification tank capacity by shrinking oxic zone. Insufficient nitrification due to lack of aerobic capacity is supplemented by adding suspension carriers. Technical route 2 can be described as the denitrification enhancement realized by carriers, i.e. both aerobic and anoxic areas are filled with fillers to directly strengthen nitrification and denitrification. The Practice has been carried out on a project in Jiaozuo, Henan Province. The final operation proves that the two technical routes can ensure stable effluent to meet the standard.


       

      Licunhe Sewage Treatment Plant has been upgraded twice. For the first time, SPRING adopted technical route 1 to break through the restriction of pool volume ratio and expand the former anoxic zone. For the second time, after adding the anoxic pool, we formed a five-stage process of AAO+AO, which broke through the restriction of reflux ratio, i.e. reducing the internal reflux, thereby reducing energy consumption and strengthening. The removal of TN resulted in the formation of Bardenpho+MBBR process in the third and fifth stages of our technical line.


       

      MBBR process can achieve continuous upgrading of wastewater treatment plants by increasing filling rate or replacing suspended carrier fillers with larger specific surface area, which fully reflects the great extensibility of MBBR process in new or renovated projects.


       

      MBBR process not only strengthens nitrification and denitrification, but also strengthens phosphorus removal by solving the contradiction of SRT. The effluent TP of biochemical section of Tuandao Wastewater Treatment Plant is less than 1 mg/L, indicates good phosphorus removal effect.


       

      MBBR process adopts immobilization technology of bacteria, which has strong impact resistance.
