SPRING participated in the Third Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Drainage and Sewage Treatment Operational Management Technology and Experience Exchanging Conference.

The 3rd Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Drainage and Sewage Treatment Operation and Management Technology and Experience Exchanging Conference, co-sponsored by Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Drainage Association, Urban Drainage and Sewage Treatment Management Operating Units and other relevant units, was held in the Conference Center of Xiongan New District Civic Service Center on May 10, 2019, Qingdao SPRING Water Treatment Co., Ltd. participated in the meeting.

With the theme of "Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei strive for high-quality and coordinated development, create a symbiotic platform for water environment in a new pattern", the symposium implements the national strategy of coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and promotes innovative development and win-win cooperation of drainage and sewage treatment industries in the three provinces and cities of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

Dr. Li Zhiwei, Senior R&D Engineer of Qingdao SPRING Water Treatment Co., Ltd., introduced the origin, development and application of MBBR process with the theme as "Application Analysis of MBBR under High Emission Standards in North China".

MBBR process originated in Norway in 1990s. With the benefits of embedded application, high efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorus removal, low operating cost, MBBR process has shown good advantages in upgrading and expanding capacity in China.

Up to May 2019, SPRING has applied MBBR process to implement nearly 8 million tons per day of project performance, including new construction, upgrading&retrofitting, point source treatment of rural sewage and river water environment restoration in 26 provinces and municipalities in China. SPRING has developed and completed the MBBR process route with effluent stably reaching the Class-IV surface water standard, which has been successfully applied in many sewage treatment plants.

And according to the project distribution of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, related cases are described respectively.

At the same time, Dr. Li introduced the super-efficient separation technology and SPR integrated treatment equipment, as well as their typical cases.

The successful application of SPRING MBBR process is based on the company's continuous exploration and Research on the process mechanism and the practical application of MBBR process in water plants. SPRING has developed and reserved several process application routes, which can be operated according to the actual operation of sewage plants, such as the concentration of influent water, the difference of effluent standards and the length of residence time.
